We all know how important protein is for the body. It builds and helps maintain muscle mass and keeps us satisfied after meals. The amino acids that make up proteins function as enzymes, diagnosis antibodies, adiposity and other important messengers in the body. Unfortunately, many of us (especially women) do not eat enough protein/day. The current recommendation is to eat 0.7-1 percent of your weight in kilograms. For example, a 130 pound woman (59kg x .07-1) should eat 42-59g of protein per day. Some research even argues the recommendation should be much higher than that! Need an easy way to fit more protein into your diet? Try this insanely easy recipe for chicken. Prep Sunday night and use through the week, perfect for ensuring you get plenty of protein!
